Blank Sketchbook

Sketchbook, drawing, the sketchbook habit, creative block.

“Riyaaa I have a gift for you”, said my favorite senior with whom I used to have long hours of chat about design and trends. An A5 notebook, with papers textured on one side for sketching and texture on the other for painting, It was perfect gift for my skill set and with an amazing classy finish.

That sketchbook is the object I chose for the object of discussion in this writing. Gifts make people attach to objects and these objects then create stories. This writing is a parallel narrative of stories to express the object’s importance in my life and analytical discussion on the emotional owner is a sketchbook.

At first I had a neophobia with that sketchbook, every blank page became so precious to me already that I hesitated in starting to use it. Most often artists face the problem when they start from a blank page. In couple of months I knew that something needs to be done about it. Our semester was getting over and I had not posted any new artwork o my professional social media page as well.
