human behavior and their indirect interactions with each other and their environment.

This is the second workshop of this series, in the previous workshop, we focused on the several ways in which humans interact, focusing on the storytelling with gestures. I this module we observed the London Underground metro stations and trains, analyzing the mental and physical spaces between the travelers and their behavioral patterns in terms of time and place.
An underground is used to travel from one place to another. It has no significance of its own, such places are commonly known as the nun places, people are usually not very enthusiastic or curious about the station in the course of their visit. Yet in a metropolitan city like London a significant time is used in everyday travel. There several activities that have naturally added on to these train visit, especially when one has to wait for the next train to come, like reading newspapers, looking around, eat and read books etc. Another very interesting insight of the place is that there is very intimate closeness amongst complete strangers. specially during peak hours.
First Sight
“The momentary attention is given to anything that can grab its attention. But to prevent this awkward connection in this space, they tend to look at other things around.”
Strangers in space don't talk to each other or interact, most of the time people are just looking forward to the journey ahead. But when they are in a crowded closed space for several minutes they tend to pass time by observing things around themselves. There is nothing specific that they look at, these are empty glazes. In this process, there are times when the eye meets another eye, and they immediately look away.
The travelers usually stay for a short period of time while they are waiting for the metro trains they are either seated, standing or facing the railway track. In front of them is a wall that has a screen attached displaying the same texture as the wall. When a person sits at the chair in front of the screen the eye appears on the screen, the eye looks at the traveler and shuts in some time.
The eye observes the person who sat in front of them and closes its eye to become nothing but a wall again. People and objects around us are merely mannequins and sets until we interact with them. There is this gap between several entities in the space. Hence conclude, these small personal interactions personify these objects in the minds of the viewer. Viewer feel attached to the attention given to then.
